tattoo questions people ask in Colorado Springs

How do I pick the right tattoo artist and style?

Choose an artist whose portfolio matches the style you want (realism, watercolor, anime, etc.). At Art In Motion, we encourage consultations so you link up with the right artist and design from the start.

What’s the difference between walk-in and booked appointments?

Walk-ins are first-come, first-served for smaller pieces. For more complex tattoos (sleeves, cover-ups, full colour), booking ahead ensures you get the artist, time, and design you’re after.

What should I bring or do before my tattoo session?

Eat a full meal, stay hydrated, wear comfortable clothes, and bring references of what you want. You’ll feel more relaxed, which helps the artist do their best work.

How long will my tattoo take, and is there a deposit?

Tattoos vary by size and detail. At Art In Motion, we require a $100 deposit. This deposit reserves your time and materials. It ensures your spot is saved and your design gets the attention it needs.

What happens if I want a cover-up or rework of an existing tattoo?

Bring your current tattoo and open to ideas. Our artists focus on cover-ups and reworks. Whether you want to refresh color, hide an old piece, or change a design into something new, we can help.
